Dynamic XML Flash Slideshow

I recently built a Dynamic XML Slideshow. The result is an application with a MVC (model-view-control) design pattern. That means the slideshow is programmed object-oriented and can be completed customized. The functionality of this AS 3.0 application is spread out into several classes (model class, view class etc), where each class contains its own methods and properties.

Usually all the code would be located on the timeline, with object oriented programming each important part of the application gets its own class which makes it easy to update, debug and understand. The beauty of the application is that you can feed the slideshow with an external xml file (data.xml), which contains elements that point to file locations of the images and contains attributes for each image description.

Here in this demo the slideshow runs with images, I have taken on my recent journey through northern parts of Australia, mainly on the Savannah-Way. They are shot with a large format camera (4x5).

Enjoy playing with the slideshow. If you enjoy the slideshow you can download it and customize it yourself to your needs. The .fla file is for CS4.
